Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi, has called on residents of the council area, who registered or transferred their voting points in the last registration exercise conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to visit the Commission’s LGA Office at Esisi Road, Warri in Delta State forcollection of their PVCs.
INEC, commenced distribution of Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs nationwide Monday December 12 for persons who registered in its recent voter’s registration exercise and fixed Sunday January 22,2023 as the last date for distribution of PVCs.
In a statement released Tuesday December 13, Dr. Tidi, emphasized the need for the new registrants to avail themselves of the window created by INEC to collect their PVCs, noting that the imperative of electing resourceful political leadership at the National and state levels in the forthcoming polls, begins with possession of permanent voter card.
Whilst urging the new registrants not to be deterred by the possibility of crowd at the collection centre, the Warri South Council Boss, challenged Officials of INEC in the local government area, to put machineries in place to fast – track the collection of PVCs.
He assured that his administration, will continually provide the enabling environment for INEC, other federal and state governments’ Ministries, Departments as well as Agencies, to effectively operate in Warri South Local Government Area.
