Veteran Journalist and Acting Head of , News and Current Affairs Department, Delta Broadcasting Service Warri, Mr Linus Chima has bowed out of active service after Thirty Two years of Meritorious service to Delta state Government.

It was a moment laced with mixed feelings from staff given the invaluable contributions of the Media General for thirty two years of service.
The sent forth of the one time Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan began with cheering tributes from his crew of the news and current affairs Programme,” State of the nation” who described him as news reporter with a difference.
For his part the General Manager, DBS Warri Pastor Malcolm Oteri commended Mr Linus Chima for his tenacity and courage in the discharge of his duties noting his work ethics.
Former Delta State Head of Service Mr Patrick Origho, serving and retired Staff of Delta Broadcasting Service Warri, Friends and Family members described Mr Linus Chima as a great asset whose wealth of experience, love, passion for journalism had helped in mentoring and nurturing young Journalists Even as they urged the younger generation to emulate the veteran who deserves all the accolades and recognition.
They noted his large heart towards those that come in contact with him.
They equally urged Mr Linus Chima to prioritize his health as a senior citizen as well as continue in his passion for reporting especially as it concerns a cleaner environment.
In his vote of thanks the celebrant appreciated colleagues, friends and family members for their support towards the success of his career noting that retiring in Good health is a show of God’s love and protection.
He assured that he would continue to be part of the DBS family even as he shared some eventful moments in his career.
Colleagues and friends who graced the occasion later presented gifts to the celebrant.
