Uvwie chapter of the People’s Democratic Party PDP has visited all the Wards in the local government area with a sensitization message to the people to stand firm and be prepared to support the policies and programmes of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
The visit by the PDP led by its leader, Honourable Solomon Ighrakpata,the chairman of PDP in Uvwie,Elder Efe Okoledo and chairman of Uvwie local government, Chief Anthony Ofoni continues with supporters receiving the party’s leaders in Wards one as they passed vote of confidence in Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
The visit to Ward one was to sensitize all supporters so as to keep faith with the PDP at all levels.
The leader of PDP in Uvwie, Honourable Solomon Ighrakpata thanked all party leaders at the local government, ward and unit levels for all their support for the Sheriff Oborevwori led administration.
Honourable Solomon Ighrakpata who is the executive chairman of Delta State Internal Revenue Service, urged them as well as party supporters not to relent in their support for the party’s leadership.
He noted that the achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori were enormous under one year of his administration
Elder Efe Okoledo said the party under the state leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has spread projects across the three senatorial districts in Delta State.
He particularly praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the star projects being executed in Uvwie and noted that his efforts were also being complimented by chief Anthony Ofoni, chairman of Uvwie local government through the ongoing cottage hospital in Iteregbi the commissioning of,Ekpan Modern market and abattoir as well as Ugboroke modern market
The chairman of Uvwie local government, chief Anthony Ofoni noted that all the Wards were already benefitting from the dividends of democracy under the administration of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
For his part Ward one chairman Mr. Peter Egere while addressing party supporters pledged their total support for the party.
Community leaders from non indigenes,women leaders, Youth leaders including the Assistant Youth leader of PDP Delta State,Comrade Igho Majemite,SSA to Governor on Women Mobilization,
Hon. Ufuoma Oboro pledged their full support for the PDP to achieve success.
New members admitted to the party were received and presented with the party’s membership cards.
