Leaders, Elders, Members and Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Converged Friday for an Enlarged Meeting as they confirmed their followership and alignment with Delta State Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori’s decision to defeact to the All Progressives Congress APC
Our Correspondent reports that the Event which took place at Uvwie town hall in Uvwie local government area of Delta State saw a large turnout of Party faithful both Indigenes and non Indigenes expressing their support for the governor and pledging loyalty for the newly adopted party.
Chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue services,Hon Solomon Ighrakpata who headed the inuagural meeting praised members of the party for the quick response and loyalty to the recent development of joining the APC.
Hon Ighrakpata commended Governor Sheriff Oborewori for making a decision that will benefit the interest of Deltans, and also pledge his support for the Mandate of President Ahmed Tinubu
Chairman of Uvwie council Hon Anthony Ofoni reinstated his commitment to the support of Gov. Oborewori as his decision to join the APC will bring about unity amongst Deltans.
Hon Ofoni called on all to come together in a strong voice to build APC for a better tomorrow.
Representatives of non Indigenes leaving in Uvwie including Chief Anainy Ndidi President General of Ohaneze Indigo Delta State Central and South Central district, Chief Ndidi Aminu Ade Jayeoia from the Yoruba community, Umoru Ibrahim from Igala community and Abdulhamid Idris from Arewa Community amongst others thanked Governor Sheriff Oborewori for the peace and privileges they have enjoyed.
They pledge their support and Unanimously agreed to join him in the APC.
Vice Chairman of Uvwie council Hon Agabo thereafter moved a motion for a vote of confidence in joining Governor Oborewori in the APC, and was seconded by Deputy leader of Uvwie legislative arm Hon. Eric Enukperie.
The House Unanimously adopted and Endorsed the motion.
