Chairman of Uvwie local government, Chief Anthony Ofoni says he will continue to sustain his steps towards promoting sanitation and healthy environment across the various communities in the area .
The Uvwie council Boss ,Chief Ofoni stated this while monitoring the compliance of environmental sanitation held on Saturday January 25,2025.
Chief Ofoni who was accompanied by PDP chairman Uvwie local government area, Elder Efe Okoledo , vice chairman,Hon Andrew Agagbo the Secretary to the local government SLG Hon Graham Osakwe, , leader of the Legislative Arms, Supervisors, Councilors and political Appointees where at Jakpa junction, Ekpan Junction, Refinery junction and Roundabout junction to monitor the monthly clean up exercise .
Chief Ofoni advised Uvwie residents to always come out during sanitation day to clean their environment .
He noted that a clean environment is better than a dirty environment that causes diseases.
The Uvwie local government chairman ,Chief Anthony Ofoni warned against indiscriminate dumping of wastes in the environment.
