Chairman of Uvwie Local Government, Chief Anthony Ofoni has presented the 2025 Budget at the Hallow chamber of Uvwie Legislative Arm.
Chief Ofoni outlined a comprehensive plan of the Council’s projected revenue and expenditure for the year 2025
The Uwvie 2025 Budget Estimate by the Council Chairman Tagged “Budget of Vision and Purpose” has an overall budget of Nine billion eight hundred and seventy-five million Nine hundred and One thousand Four hundred and Fifty Naira thirty-nine Kobo.
The Estimate is with a recurrent expenditure of Six billion two hundred and forty seven million six hundred and ninety-six thousand four hundred and fifty naira thirty-nine Kobo.
Presenting the budget to the House, Honourable Anthony Ofoni noted that the 2025 budget is marked out with a clear foresight with achievable goals in mind which focuses on continued provision of physical infrastructure, job creation wealth creation and poverty reduction in Uvwie local government area.
On receiving the Budget for the 2025 Fiscal year, a motion of acceptance was moved by Honourable Jerry Ajeke and seconded by Honourable Atasa Enawora on the floor of the Uvwie Legislative Arm.
Leader of the Uvwie Legislative Arm , Honourable Rire Okejira expressed satisfaction with the polices and programmes of the Uvwie council Chairman following the continued positive transformation in different aspects of the council.
He revealed oversight functions by the house that have brought in positive reports due to various completed and ongoing projects carried out by the Uvwie council boss.
Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Uvwie, Chief Efe Okoledo praised the budget calling it an all inclusive budget which covers every area of concern.
Vice Chairman of Uvwie council Andrew Agabo, Head of personnel Management Mrs Juliana Manager, Officials of Uvwie council amongst others were present during the presentation.
