The Provost of College of Education ( COE) Warri, Dr (Olorogun) Dickson Onovwakpoma Oyovwi ( JP) has remarked that Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori ‘ s This Day Newspaper/ Arise Television award is a testament of his ( Governor Oborevwori) quality leadership.
Oyovwi made the remark while reacting to the award in an exclusive media chat with our correspondent at a public function in Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area at the weekend.
He recalled that Governor Oborevwori displayed his quality leadership while he was the Speaker of Delta State and that this was why Delta State House of Assembly was one of the most vibrant state house of assembly in the country .
Oyovwi noted that in less than one year in office as governor of Delta State , Rt Hon (Elder)Oborevwori brought his leadership quality into play by working on some uncompleted projects in the state .
One of which is the twelve years old abandoned gigantic administrative building in College of Education Warri . massive drainage system in Warri South/ Uvwie local government areas, the Ughelli / Asaba High Way, the Ode – Itsekiri Bridge among others.
Oyovwi also gave kudos to Governor Oborevwori on some key projects which he executed and are ongoing as he mentioned the multi billion naira flyover projects in Warri South and Uvwie local government areas, the beautification projects of Asaba among others across the state.
He hailed Governor Oborevwori for ensuring quality execution of the said through regular personal supervision.
The Provost of College of Education Warri further remarked that Governor Oborevwori ‘ s MORE Agenda has yeilded dividends across all sectors of the economy in the state so far.
He stressed that quality leadership of Governor Oborevwori was responsible for the laudable achievements he has recorded since he was sworn in as governor of Delta State in 2023 .
Oyovwi then said that Governor Oborevwori has indeed positively transformed Delta State within a short period of time as governor of Delta State. .
He therefore stated that Rt Hon (Elder) truly deserves to be given an award of ‘ The Governor Year 2024 ‘
