The District Governor, Rotary International District 9141 Rtn MightyMan Dikuro has inuagurated cassava Milling Machine and a
renovated community town hall at the Tuberculosis and Leprosy Referral Center in Sanubi Eku , Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta State courtesy of Six Rotary clubs in Warri and it’s environs .
Rtn Dikuro while inauguarating the projects on Thursday commended the six Rotary clubs for the gesture.
The Rotary clubs that executed the Projects at the Tuberculosis and Leprosy Referral Center are Rotary Clubs of Ogunu , Osubi, Plantation City , Edjeba , Warri central and Effurun city center .
The District Governor, Rtn MightyMan Dikuro while Speaking during the visit to the Tuberculosis and Leprosy Referral Center in Eku said the Initiative is geared towards community and Economic Development.
He said the gesture is aimed at giving back to the communities, inorder to add values and make the people happy .
Rtn Dikuro called on good spirited individuals not to stigmatize the Tuberculosis and Leprosy
Patients but to help them come out of their current situation.
He advised the patients to make good use of the cassava Milling Machine to improve their living and also make their Environment friendly.
A Representative of the Delta State Government at the center , Mr John Omgbu said he is overwhelmed by the gesture and commended the Rotary Clubs for their support in the renovation of the community town hall and the provision of a cassava Milling Machine .
Also speaking the Chairman Leprosy Settlement in Sanubi,
Eku, Mr Daniel Inana expressed gratitude to the Rotary Clubs for their efforts in putting smiles on the faces of the people.
For their part ,the President of the Rotary Club of Osubi Rotarian Nosa Oge, President Rotary Club of Edjeba Rotarian Nicolas Otobo, and the President of Rotary club plantation City, Rotarian Franklin Ote said the revonation of the community town hall and the provision of the cassava Milling Machine was done to make life more comfortable for the people .
They charged the community leaders and the people to maintain and the community town hall and the cassava Milling Machine.
Some of the patients at the centre expressed happiness and thanked the Rotary Clubs for the gesture .
