President Of Rotary club of Warri,District 9141 , Rotarian Faith Ovie has tasked Nursing mothers to always clean their homes inorder for their babies to be healthy .
Rotarian Faith Ovie gave the advised during a health talk and presentation of disinfectants to nursing mothers held at primary health center, Eboh Warri South local Government area of Delta state .
The health talk with the theme ; Nursing Mother and Hygiene , Mothers Role Was organised by Rotary club of Warri in collaboration with Hypo home care product limited .
Rotarian Ovie while addressing nursing mothers disclosed that Rotary international decided to dedicate the month of July to maternal and child health care inorder to give attention to the health care of mothers and their children so that they can live longer and grow stronger .
She added that the maternal and child health care is one of the seven areas of focus in Rotary International .
Rtn.Ovie challenged the mothers to continue to keep their environment clean by using disinfectants .
She also advised the nursing mothers to always visit the hospital and follow the directive of the Medical expert as it concerns the health of their babies .
Earlier the Representative of Hypo home care products limited lectured the nursing mothers on how to apply hypo disinfectant while cleaning their homes especially the floor because of their babies .
The District Governor of Rotary District 9141 ,Rotarian Emeke Utebor who was represented by Assistant Governor zone 15 Rotarian Wilson Kokaraye commended Rotary Club of Warri for the gesture and their care for nursing mothers in the Area .
While stating that Rotary international care about the health of nursing mothers and their children, the Assistant Governor further added that Rotary club will continue to put smiles on the faces of the vulnerables in the society .
Also speaking a Past District Governor of Rotary District 9141 Rotarian Henry Ejumudo stated that Rotary is concerned in providing quality health care for everyone and especially nursing mothers and their babies in order to reduce the rate of mortality.
High point of the Health Awareness event was the presentation of disinfectants to the Nursing mothers .
