Rotary Club of Ogunu ,District 9141 on Thursday put smiles on the faces of Ugbuwangue market Traders in Warri South local Government area
as they donated a generating set and inaugurated a redrilled Borehole .
President Of Rotary club of Ogunu Rotarian Michael Odili disclosed that the project was executed with the support of Rotary Grant .
Actualnewsng.com Reports that the inauguration held at the Market had in attendance members of Rotary club of Ogunu and witnessed by the chairperson of Ugbuwangue Market and other traders.
President of Rotary club of Ogunu Rtn Michael Odili revealed that the redrilling of the Borehole and donation of a generating set was achieved by Grant provided from Rotary District 9141 .
Rtn Odili added that the traders had appealed to the club to provide generating set inorder for them to power the water pumping machine when there is no public power supply .
He stated that the provision of the borehole water and generating set is inline with one of Rotary international 7 Areas of focus that dwell on water,Sanitation and
Hygiene .
while handing over the project and generating set to the Traders of Ugbuwangue market a past president of the club Rtn Ayodele Enikanselu
said Rotary Club stands to impact the community and the people in it .
He stressed that Rotary club of Ogunu decided to provide
hygienic water to the traders to enable them live healthy .
Also speaking the club’s Project chairman Rtn Osamuyi Omokha, the club’s membership chairman Rtn Onome Eboe- Ogoro and the club’s Public Image chairman Rtn Daniel Oji
urged the traders to make judicious use of the borehole water and
generating set .
They disclosed that Rotary Club has been instrumental in some intervention projects in helping the communities in the areas .
Responding the Chairperson of Ugbuwangue market , Mrs Rose Ajamemiwa thanked Rotary club of Ogunu for the gesture , promising that they will make good use of the water and the generating set .
Other traders expressed joy that they can now enjoy water supply with the provision of a generating set by Rotary Club of Ogunu when there is no public power supply .
