Forty Two pregnant women in Mammy community, at the Effurun barracks, Uvwie local government area of Delta State have receives pregnancy kits courtesy Rotary Club of Effurun District 9141in collaboration with Dora Eda foundation.
The President of the Rotary Club of Effurun Rotarian Godwin Oniyama said the gesture was part of the club’s continued effort to assist vulnerable women especially expectant mothers to access quality health care .

Accessing health care services or getting delivering kits by pregnant women in rural areas is one of the concerns of non governmental organizations like Rotary international giving the statistics of complications at delivery of children by mothers.
Rotary club of Effurun in collaboration with Dora Eda foundation as part of effort to reach these pregnant women in the point of their health needs presented packs of delivery kits to them.
The gesture by the Rotary Club of Effurun family, according to the President, Rotarian Godwin Oniyama was the Club own way to identify and reach out to vulnerable pregnant women for a seamless delivery.
The Rotary club of Effurun President flanked by Club members while presenting the delivery kits advised the pregnant women to take proper care of themselves and visit the hospital regularly for antenatal checkup to avoid complications during delivery.
He noted that the club will continue to partner with good spirited individuals and organisations that run with the vision of Rotary international to bring succour and happiness to the needy through humanitarian services.
For her part , Representative of the Dora Eda foundation, Mrs Tracy Rhima and some members of Rotary club of Effurun including the immediate past president Rotarian Michael Enehizena admonished the women to practice good hygiene practices and good eating habits for their health and that of their unborn child.
They pointed out that the choice of the Mammy community to Present delivery kits is strategic as it would touch the hearts of the vulnerable in the society.
They added that Rotary international has been in the fore front of polio eradication and it will continue to advocate world peace, global friendship and accessibility of social amenities to common people through it:s time, resources and partnership.
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to Rotary international and prayed for the sustainance of the Laudable gesture.
