Rotary Club of Edjeba District 9141 has again, proven its support towards the development of education in Delta State with the donation of a renovated Chemistry Laboratory to Edjeba College Warri . Warri south local Government Area of Delta State.
Our Correspondent reports that inaugurating the renovated Chemistry Laboratory, Rotary international District 9141 Governor , Rotarian Emeke Utebor stated the donation of the renovated laboratory is to provide quality education and better educational facilities for the students of the school.
Rotarian Emeke Utebor who was represented by the Assistant District Governor zone 13 , Rotarian Klem Douglas commended members of Rotary Club of Edjeba for donating the Chemistry Laboratory to Edjeba college.
Rotarian Utebor further disclosed that the equipped laboratory will enhance and develop science education in Edjeba college .
Speaking during the Inauguration of renovated Chemistry Laboratory, the president of Rotary Club of Edjeba, Rotarian Sunny Oveisi disclosed that the club had earlier visited the school authority to carryout needs assessment inorder for the club to assist the school.
Rotarian Oveisi disclosed that the project was made possible through District 9141 grant and contributions by members of the club ,stressing that the gesture is in line with one of the seven areas of focus of Rotary International,which is Basic education and literacy.
He appealed to the Staff and students of Edjeba college to protect the equipment in the laboratory .
Chief inspector of Education Warri south, Dr Samson Ugbejeh , principal of Edjeba college, Mrs Mayuku Abeje ,vice principal and HOD chemistry Mrs Onajite Agbateyiniro as well as the President General Edjeba community Mr Ejiroghene IBUAKEVWE thanked Rotary club of Edjeba for the gesture and assured the club that the students would make good use of the equipment in the laboratory.
One of the students Miss Mary Okon Bassey who spoke onbehalf of students of Edjeba college also commended Rotary club of Edjeba for donating the renovated Chemistry Laboratory to them, adding that the renovated Chemistry Laboratory would help improve their knowledge.
