Rotary Club of Effurun GRA, District 9141 on Sunday installed Rotarian Benjamin Usiora as the eleventh President of the Club for the 2023/2024 Rotary Appreciation Year
Rotarian Usiora who took over from the Immediate Past President Rotarian Tobore Ojigho pledged to take the club to greater height .
Actual News Correspondent reports that the ceremony which was held at Chevron club hall, Edjeba Warri South local Government Area of Delta State attracted Rotarians from different clubs within and outside the District, family, friends and wishers.
The installation committee chairman, Rotarian Christopher Omoze, said Rotary is a non-governmental organization that has remained firm and progressive in its method of leadership transition and realization of its goals and programmes .
Rotarian Omoze appealed for support from Rotarians and friends of the club to enable Rotarian Benjamin Usiora to have a successful Rotary Year.
The occasion featured a lecture titled “Rotary is the best” delivered by a past Assistant District Governor, Rotarian Ikenna Ogbonna, who restated the commitment of Rotary International to combating and eradicating diseases such as poliomyelitis.
He noted that Rotary is made of men and women with the heart to put smiles on the faces of people, especially the vulnerable ones.
Rotarian Ogbonna who noted that Rotarians derive joy in proffering solutions to other peoples problems before attending to theirs, thanked Rotary Club of Effurun GRA for giving out interest-free loans of one hundred thousand naira each to 30 youths to boost their business.
Also speaking, the immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Effurun GRA, Rotarian Tobore Ojigho, commended members of the club especially his Board of Directors for their support during his tenure as President adding that such support should also be extended to his successor Rotarian Benjamin Usiora.
Other Rotarians including the Assistant District Governor supervising the club, Rotarian Dele Aisekhalaye commended the club for its steadfastness and dedication to the course of Rotary and appealed for the sustenance of the tempo and spirit of togetherness.

While reeling out the projects to be executed in his tenure as the 11th President, Rotarian Usiora called for support for the actualisation of the projects and programmes.
He noted that as a team, the club would work hard in making the 2023/2024 Rotary year a remarkable one by touching Rotary’s seven areas of focus.
