Principal , Staff and Students of Ebrumede Secondary School in Uvwie local Government Area of Delta State have commended Rotary Club of Effurun for embarking on Perimeter Fencing of the school .
Principal of Ebrumede Secondary school Mrs Joyce Alozeiem was speaking during the foundation laying ceremony of the fencing of Ebrumede secondary school on Thursday by the District Governor, Rotary Club International District 9141, Rotarian Mightyman Dikuro .
ACTUAL NEWS Reports that Ebrumede Secondary school was founded in June 2006 and since then part of the school was yet to be fenced.
Principal of the School Mrs Joyce Alozeiem who could not hide her joy said the school property will be safe after the completion of the fence ,noting that the school has suffered in the hands of unknown vandals .
District Governor Rotarian MightyMan Dikuro said Rotary Club has been recognized by the world as the foremost charity Organisation for over 20 years back to back .
He thanked Rotary club of Effurun for embarking on the fencing of Ebeumede Secondary School.
The District Governor urged the Principal and Teachers to nurture members of the interact club so that in future the students would become Rotarians .
The President of Rotary Club of Effurun Rotarian Godwin Oniyama told the District Governor and his entourage that the club members visited the school to find out their pressing needs and they were told that the school needs a fence hence the project was embarked on.
Rotarian Oniyama said the state Government cannot do it all alone, stressing that the project by the club was to compliment Delta State Government’s efforts .
Also speaking the Project Chairman Rotarian Dele Asikalaye said the project is in line with the Rotary club international seven areas of focus and revealed that the project is important to protect the children from dangers .
Highpoint of the event was the fence foundation laying by the District Governor.
