The operatives of Delta Police command on Tuesday Paraded 67 Gay suspects in Ekpan Police Divisional Headquarters, uvwie local government Area of Delta State .
The suspects were arrested in an hotel during a gay wedding .
The spokesperson of Delta Police command DSP Bright Edafe disclosed to newsmen while parading the suspects that homosexual relationship is illegal in Nigeria
Edafe added that the gay suspects would remain in custody while investigation continues.
He reveals that the anti-gay law of 2014 stipulates a 14-year prison term for anyone convicted of having sex with members of the same sex.
Delta command PPRO stated that the act is evil and it must be discouraged.
He further advised parents to monitor their children and wards inorder to know the kind of company they keep.
Some of the suspects denied the act adding that they are artists and were invited to attend a white dress party
Another suspect said he has been a gay for over four years and regreted the act.
Recall that since the anti-gay law was passed in 2014, homosexuals have been arrested and paraded by security operatives in the country.
