The PDP Vice presidential candidate and Governor of Delta State Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has expressed gratitude to all government officials, his wife and first responders who gave one form of assistance to flood victims in the state.
Okowa made this statement via his verified Twitter account on Tuesday .
He also said the flood should be a wake up call on governments to take necessary actions.
Pond News Reports that Delta State governor also said he was ready to visit the flood victims at the various IDP camps.
Okowa tweeted :’The flooding that has submerged countless communities across nation is not only devastating but it is also a cause for concern that must serve as a necessary call to action.
As I prepare to visit the sites of the floods and the families that are stranded in our IDP camps, I appreciate my darling wife, Edith, and all our government officials and first responders who have been working tirelessly to make the lives of our survivors easier
