Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Non-indigene Traders in Delta central and South senatorial Districts ,Hon. Sunny Okeke has urged Traders at Enerhen Merchant Industrial Spare Parts Market to support Delta State Governor Rt Hon . Sheriff Oborevwori in his continuous drive to make Delta State a business hub.
Hon. Okeke made the appeal at the weekend when he paid a thank you visit to traders at Enerhen Merchant Industrial Spare Parts Market in Enerhen, Delta State .
The SA to the Governor on Non-indigene,Hon Sunny Okeke informed the traders that Delta state Governor through his MORE Agenda has put inplace measures to enable Non-indigene traders in the state to thrive in their various businesses.
Hon Okeke commended the traders for supporting Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori during the Governorship election, urging them to sustain same support inorder for the governor to extend the dividends of democracy to Non-indigene traders in the state .
He further appealed to the Enerhen Merchant industrial spare parts
traders to continue to be law abiding and Support one another as well as be united always so that they can continue to excel in their various business.
Hon Okeke promised to inform Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of the demands made by the traders during the visit .
For his part chairman of Enerhen Merchant industrial spare parts,
Mr Gabriel Ossai onbehalf of the traders thanked Hon Sunny Okeke for the visit .
Mr Ossai noted that the state Governor Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is doing well especially in the areas of infrastructural development.
He said the Governor mean well by approving the construction of flyover bridges in Warri and Effurun as well as reconstruction of other roads in the State .
Mr Ossia said the traders will continue to support the Oborevwori’s administration inorder for them to benefit from his various human capital development.
According to the chairman Enerhen Merchant industrial spare parts traders,
“I am appealing to the state Governor to provide grants and loans to our traders so that they can remain in business as some traders can no longer purchase goods following the economic hardship in the country”he added.
He also appeal to the Governor to include Non-indigene traders in Delta COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (D-CARES) Programme which he recently increased the numbers of beneficiaries from 36,353 to 110,841.
During an interaction session,the traders appealed to the state Governor to attract more companies to Warri and environs as well as the return of night live to the areas
The traders later pledged to support hon Sunny Okeke so that he can succeed in his new assignment.
The traders further appealed to Hon Okeke to take their message to the state Governor ,who they described as a listening Governor.
