Egbudu Aka Kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area bubbled Thursday April 17th ,2025 as it welcomed dignitaries from across Delta State and beyond for the official presentation of the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty, Obi Augustine Nzemeke Ezeagwuna Okolie III.

Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, represented by his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, who presided over the ceremony formally installing Obi Okolie III as the traditional ruler of Egbudu Aka.
The event which featured cultural display, marks a new chapter of unity, growth, and shared vision for the kingdom.
Governor Oborevwori charged the newly crowned monarch to uphold the customs and traditions of the land, describing the throne as a sacred trust inherited from his forebears.

He said the MORE Agenda of his administration remains committed to equitable development across all communities in the state.
He praised Egbudu Aka for its fertile lands, rubber and palm plantations as well as rich craftsmanship, all of which significantly contribute to the state’s food security.
The Governor also called on the people to remain law-abiding and give full support to their traditional leadership.
A key highlight of the ceremony was the symbolic presentation of the staff of office, signifying royal authority and legitimacy.
In his goodwill address, the Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , applauded the ascension of Obi Okolie III and urged the community to rally behind their monarch.
He seized the opportunity to appeal to the state government to consider the tarring of critical access roads linking Egbudu Aka to Ika North East and South, Ndokwa West, and other parts of Aniocha South. He also called for the establishment of a police post to strengthen security in the agrarian community.
“As a council, we will continue to do our best to deliver the dividends of democracy to Egbudu Aka in line with the vision of the MORE Agenda. I urge His Royal Majesty to be a father to all, apply wisdom, and lead initiatives that will uplift this community,” he stated.
Both the Governor’s representative and the Council chairman encouraged the people of Egbudu Aka to work hand-in-hand with the traditional institution, emphasizing unity, peace, and collective effort as key ingredients for meaningful development.

As Obi Augustine Okolie III takes on the mantle of leadership, he is expected to collaborate closely with government institutions and stakeholders to chart a progressive path for the kingdom.
The call is clear unity, vision, and shared responsibility are vital for Egbudu Aka to reach new heights.
The event was graced by a host of dignitaries, including Hon. Ijeoma Smart Ufoh , Commissioner for Technical Education; Hon. Collins Iwebunor, ICT Director at the State Board of Internal Revenue; Hon Leonard Nzemeke , leader of the legislative arm; and Hon. Prince Tony K Ebube , Secretary to the local government.
Others in attendance included state and local government appointees, the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor, Hon. Ifeanyi Osakwe, councilors, industry leaders, and prominent community figures.
