Delta state Governor ,Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has commended the Ovie of Uvwie kingdom , Abe I for complimenting the state Government efforts in ensuring a conducive environment for investors to carryout their Bussiness in the kingdom .
Governor Oborevwori was speaking during a Thanksgiving mass to mark the 80th Birthday of the Ovie of Uvwie at St Jude Catholic church , GRA Effurun , Uvwie local Government area of Delta State .
Governor sheriff Oborevwori while congratulating the Ovie of Uvwie Abe I on his 80th birthday and his 55th marriage Anniversary thanksgiving thanked God for blessing the royal family with Good Health .
The Governor who was represented by his deputy Sir Monday oyeme attributed the development of the kingdom to the continuous campaign for peace by the Ovie of Uvwie .
Governor Obovwori also thanked God the Ovie of Uvwie is witnessing the positive transformation in his domain especially with the groundbreaking of flyovers and bridges to be constructed by Julius Berger .
In his homily, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Warri , Bishop Anthony Ewherido while wishing the Uvwie monarch a happy 80th birthday appreciated the Royal monarch for putting God first in his daily activities
Bishop Ewherido said those who know the Royal couple described them as people of Peace and prayed God to accept their sacrifice of Thanksgiving .
During the Reception to entertain guests ,the Ovie of Uvwie Abe the first thanked God for his mercy and blessings to him and his family .
He also thanked God for his
lovely wife, a relationship that would be 55 years on the 28th December this year.
Abe the first advised parents to be mindful of the need to hand down to their children posterity, legacies and achievements that would inspire and compel them to be steadfast in the pursuit of their future.
He disclosed that Fifteen Years on the Throne has been 15 years of phenomenal leadership and remarkable landmarks in the advancement of the Uvwie kingdom .
Some distinguished personalities that attended the ceremony thanked God for the life of the Ovie of Uvwie who they described as God sent to the people of Uvwie and prayed God to give him good health and long life.
The ceremony was attended by the wife of Edo state Governor , Mrs Bessy Obaseki, Royal father’s from within and outside Delta state as Well As captains of industry .
