The General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle, GFT, in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Prophet Austin Ariole, on Sunday said Mmesoma Ejikeme, the girl who allegedly forged the result of her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, in Anambra State needs counselling, prayer and care so she does not commit suicide out of shame.
He described Mmesoma’s action as a national embarrassment.
He noted that she divided the country as many accused JAMB of victimizing her because she was of southeast origin.
While thanking God that the highest JAMB scorer is also from the Igbo-speaking tribe in the east, Ariole said, “If she (highest scorer) were to be a Yoruba girl from the western part of the country, the problem would have continued.”
It would be recalled that Mmesoma Ejikeme forged her result, increasing her score from 249 to 362.
Meanwhile Kamsiyochukwu Umeh has emerged the best candidate in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
Umeh, a student of the Deeper Life High School, Mowe, Ogun State, emerged best candidate in the UTME with a score of 360.
She scored 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 in Physics and 66 in English.
