President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday evening at the 25th Nigeria Democracy Day Anniversary Dinner said his fall at the Eagle Square while boarding the parade vehicle was a symbolic bow to the Democracy Day.
President Tinubu said “Early this morning, I had a swagger and it’s all over on the social media.
“They were confused …. It was a ‘dobale’ for the day. I did my ‘dobale’ for the day. I’m a typical Yoruba boy.” Tinubu explains.
It was widely published on social media that President Tinubu slipped and fell while mounting the parade vehicle at the Eagle Square during the democracy Day parade.
On minimum wage issues, President Bola Tinubu hinted last night that only a sustainable minimum wage will be recommended for legislative action by the National Assembly.
Following the conclusion of negotiations, the Tripartite Committee recommended N62,000 minimum wage as agreed upon by the federal/state governments and Organised Private Sector (OPS).
But Labour insisted on N250,000.
The recommendation has been submitted to Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF) George Akume.
The President is now being looked upon to send his approved recommendation as a Bill to the National Assembly.
The 25th Democracy Day dinner had the wife of the president Remi Tinubu,vice president kashim Shettima and his spouse,Senate president Senator Godswill Akpabio representative of the speaker house of Assembly,captains of industry amongst others in attendance.
