As part of continued efforts to give back to Alma mater, Hussey College Warri old students Association class of 83 on Saturday donated four hundred and fifty five chairs and thirty Tables to the school.
The gesture by Hussey college warri class of 83 was also part of activities to Mark their forty years anniversary after leaving the school.
The donation of the chairs and tables as well as a public address System to Hussey College Warri on Saturday was one that brought satisfaction and fulfilment by the old students of class 83.
The donation is also to commemorate forty years after leaving Hussey College warri.
President of the Hussey College Warri Old students Association class of 83 Prince Sunny Omugbe and some other members of the set appreciated God almighty for sparing their Lives to see another opportunity to gather as class mates of 83 set to celebrate 40 years with good health .
They noted that the gesture was to give Back to a school that have contributed to their successes across various field emphasizing that the school had invested a lot on them and it was only necessary to contribute their quota to the school.
While paying glowing tributes to one of Hussey College legend and former principal, mr Michael Ojo, the Old students aknowledged his virtues and discipline he had instilled on them as students.
The old students especially the president of the set of 83 Prince Omugbe thanked other members who had contributed their resources, time to ensure that the projects are executed successfully also commended Hussey college management for striving to keep the school flag high as a foremost Center of excellence.
They advised the students to be disciplined and be studious so as to become future leaders and better persons in the society
The principal of Hussey college warri Mrs Paulina Wateginre who was represented by a senior teacher thanked the Old students for the donations adding that it would help the school on a large scale especially when it wants to hold seminars and symposiums.
She assured the old students that the items would be judiciously put to good use.
The old students had earlier met with their old teachers including Mrs Gloria Umago and Mrs Stella Ekpekurede to jack up old memories.
The old students had in time past carried out various projects in the school so as to make learning enjoyable and act as motivation to the students of the school
The group later held a dinner ceremony where most of the members were presented with awards for their efforts to keep the group going and united .
