The 1984 set of Hussey College Warri Old Students Association has commissioned and handed over three blocks of nine classrooms to their alma mater.
The gesture which is part of their efforts to give back to the school which made them what they are also featured the presentation of awards to some students of the school.
It is exactly forty years after the set of 1984 left their alma mater the prestigious Hussey College Warri.
Their return to the school as adults however saw them commiting their resources to add value to their almamater.
Led by their President Mr Alex Odiete a lawyer the 1984 set of Hussey College Old Students Association renovated three blocks of nine classrooms to enhance teaching and learning in the school .
The 1984 set who also presented awards to some of the best students of the school also delivered lectures in different disciplines.
Other classmates of the set including Mr Michael Owota,Mrs Agnes Momodu, Retired General Efe Edafiogho ,Mr Andy Chukwuka delivered lectures on finance, Entrepreneurship, science and technology as well as Agriculture.
Reacting to the show of love by the Old Students Association of Hussey College Warri set of 1984 Principal of the College Mrs Justina Wategire and the Chief inspector of Education Warri South Local Government Dr Samson Ugbejeh commended them for contributing their quota to the development of infrastructure at Hussey College Warri.
They noted that the gesture would go a long way to motivate the learners in aspiring to become great in future.
The ceremony climaxed with a novelty football match between the Hussey College Warri Old Students Association set of 1984 and students of the College.
