Flood victims in Isoko South and Ughelli North local Government Areas of Delta State received relief materialst to cushion the hardship caused by the flood.
The relief materials were donated to the flood victims by the management of Heritage Energy Operational Services Limited, (HEOSL), operators of OML 30 on Wednesday
The General Manager, Government, Joint Venture and External Relations of OML 30 Mr. Adesola Abebawo, while delivering the materials
said the items worth over 50 million naira was part of the social corporate responsibility initiative to assist victims of the flood ravaged communities in their areas of operations.
Mr Adebawo represented by Head, Community Relations and Security, Mr. Sylvester Okoh said as responsible investors, the OML 30 JV partner’s donated the items to cushion the hardship caused by the flood.
The benefitting communities includes, Uzere, Olomoro, Oleh, Igbide, Enhwe, Okpolo-Enhwe and Emede, all in Isoko South local Government Areas and, Evwreni, Uwheru and Unenurhie in Ughelli North local Government Areas .
The items presented to the victims included foodstuff, bottled water, tomatoes paste, beverages, insecticide treated nets, blankets, sanitary packs as well as medical items.
Receiving the items on behalf of the communities, Chairman of the OML 30 Cluster Development Board, CDB, Chief Iduh Amadhe expressed gratitude to the company for their show of concern to the host communities at their time of need.
He advised the leadership of the various communities to ensure equitable distribution of the items to the affected flood victims .
Others who spoke, including the representatives of the Commissioner for Oil and Gas, Prince Emmanuel Ambaduba ,Chairmen of Ughelli North and South local Governments and the President General of Evwreni Community, Mr. Bright Adjobe, thanked the company for reaching out to the affected communities in their hours of need.
They appealed for similar assistance from other good spirited Nigerians.
