The harvest chairman of St Stephens Anglican church, ESV Samuel Irori has urged christians to continue to thank God for his protection and provision despite the present day economic reality
The Chairman stated this during the youth and children harvest Thanksgiving held on Sunday August 27, 2023 at St Stephens anglican church Jakpa road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Deta State.
Mr Irori who encouraged parents to support their wards to generously give to advance the work of God in the church, noted that ” our act of giving attracts more provision and protection from God, as giving is part of our appreciation to God.”
Irori who congratulated the youth, children and their parents for witnessing another harvest prayed: “we shall witness many more harvest in good health in Jesus name-Amen.”
The guest Preacher Evangelist Simon Erhieguren charged parents to be steadfast in caring for their children, saying, ” You will enjoy your children more, at every side, when you stand by them, as we have been mandated by God to be their earthly caretaker.”
While encouraging parents to fervently depend on God, mostly as it pertains to the well being of their children, the clergyman asserted “we are not ignorant of the fact that situations in life have made some christians to seek help from sources that are ungodly.
‘However, total faith and trust in God will not only bring wisdom on how to nurture these children, but will further attract healing and wealth, as contained in Jeremiah 33 verses 6 -7″ he noted.
Parents who where excited to see their children taking part in different events that spiced up the harvest, where not left out as they clapped, cheered and helped guild the children inorder to achieve a hitch free event, while others looked on in admiration of their wards performance.
The different group in the church were also colourfully dressed in their uniforms as they took turns to specially thank God while celebrating with the children.
