A gas explosion has claimed the life of the representative of the President General of Orogun Kingdom , Pastor Adese Onos.
Adese along with his wife and house maid were reported to have been badly injured by a gas explosion at his country home of Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State on Thursday 4th May, 2023.
It was further gathered that they were immediately rushed to University of Benin Teaching Hospital ( UBTH ) Benin City, Edo State for treatment.
He could not make it as he later gave up the ghost at the said teaching hospital.
Meanwhile his wife and house maid were said to be in critical condition at as the time of filing this report.
When contacted for confirmation, the Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO ) Delta State Police Headquarters , Asaba, DSP Bright Edafe said that he was unaware of the unfortunate incident.
He however promised to call back after contacting the police divisional headquarters where the gas explosion occurred .
However the Chairman, Forum of Presidents General in Urhobo Nation, Chief Godwin Notoma confirmed the death to our correspondent in a telephone chat .
Notoma who doubles as the President General of Udu Kingdom , painfully described the demise of the representative of the president general of Orogun Kingdom as a terrible loss to the forum.
Similarly, the President General of Agbarha Warri Kingdom, Chief Emmanuel Ememu ( JP) who also spoke to our correspondent in a telephone interaction bitterly described the demise of Pastor Adese as a rude shock.
He described the representative of the president general of Orogun Kingdom in the Forum of Presidents General in Urhobo Nation as a humble, resourceful and forthright personality.
” He never claimed to be the president general of Orogun Kingdom in our forum but he would rather always introduced himself as the representative of the president general of Orogun Kingdom . That shows the humility and honestly in him ” Chief Ememu added.
It was further gathered Pastor Adese Onos retired from DESOPADEC this year .
