The Church of God Mission International ( CGMI ) has put smile on the faces of its members who are victims of the ravaging flood in Isoko Nation.
The Church of God Mission International did this with the presentation of relief materials worth several millions of naira to the victims at the headquarters of the Isoko Zone of the church in Emervor Isoko North Local Government Area on Monday 7th November, 2022 .
The items donated were mattresses, clothes, Bags of rice, cartons of noodles, tubers of yams, toiletries and insecticide treated nets among others
A member of the CGMI National Flood Relief Committee and Representative of Bishopric / zone and its environs, Rev. Dr Michael Martins in his brief speech shortly before the donation of items disclosed that the items were donated by the General Overseer of the church Arch Bishop ( Mrs ) Margaret Idahosa
Reverend Martins who sympathized with victims of the flood over their losses noted that the CGMI have always showed concern to welfare of members
Receiving the relief materials on behalf of flood victims of Church of God Mission in Isoko Nation ,the Coordinator of Isoko one Church of God Mission Rev. Odahgwe-Adol Ifeanyi commended the CGMI for it timely intervention.
Reverend Odahgwe-Adol Ifeanyi equally commended Ministers of the CGMI for their transparency with how they handled and presented the palliatives with holding no relief materials behind.
He promised to present the relief materials judiciously amongst the different provinces of the church.
Other members of Church of God Mission Isoko zone present including Reverend Henry Ehigie-Osarobo and Reverend Raymond Omoruwou gave kudos to CGMI for meeting flood victims at the point of their needs.
They described the gesture by Arc Bishop Dr Margaret-Benson Idahosa and other donors as Christianity in action noting that the food items, clothing and other household materials would enable the affected flood victims heigh a sign of relief and at the same time feel the impact of the Church.
