Energize Agbarha Warri Street Lights , Edema Appeals To Oborevwori
By Ambrose Ologide
The President of the prestigious Agbarha Warri Warri League, Mr Edema Fuludu ( MON ) has appealed to Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori to energize the street lights in Warri / Sapele Road areas of Otovwodo( Agbassa )and Igbudu communities in Warri South Local Government Area.
Edema who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in Warri Local Government Area made the appeal in a media chat with our correspondent in Warri at the weekend.
The former Super Eagles midfield meastro bitterly noted that street lights in Otovwodo( Agbassa) and Igbudu Warri / Sapele areas stopped functioning after the exit of former Governor James Ibori.
Edema who is a former Chairman of Delta State Football Association commended Governor Oborevwori for his promise of restoring the lost glory of Warri , explaining that it was based on the promise of Governor Oborevwori that informed the appeal.
While commending Governor Oborevwori for his donation of an electric transformer to Marine Quarters of Igbudu Community, he also reasoned that energising the said street lights would boost the security of Otovwodo( Agbassa) and Igbudu as he noted that the Agbarha Warri communities are located in the heart of the commercial hub of Delta State.
Edema also use the opportunity to appeal to Governor Oborevwori to include Urhobo language in school curriculum of Warri South Local Government Area.
He lamented that inspite of the fact that Warri Urhobo is the majority ethnic group in Warri South Local Government Area, the Urhobo language was not taught and that it was only Itsekiris language that was taught in the area.
