The departed traditional ruler of Agbarha Warri kingdom in Warri South Local Government Area was hailed for promoting peace and unity in Agbarha Warri kingdom and neighbouring kingdoms during his reign .
The commendations were contained in various speeches and tributes by highly placed personalities , churches and associations during the 5 day finale rites of passage of the traditional ruler.
Governor Oborevwori who spoke through the Chief of Staff Government House Asaba Hon( Prince) Johnson Erijo urged the Agbarha Warri people to sustain his legacy of peace .
The President General of Urhobo Progress Union( UPU ) Worldwide Chief Ese Gam Owe, a lawyer in a tribute on behalf of the union remarked that the sojourn of Ememoh II on earth was memorable ” and his good legacies and great works will forever be remembered not only by the Agbarha Warri kingdom but through out Urhobo Land in general ”
The Urhobo Historical Society also made a similar remark in its tribute.
The Bishop of Warri Catholic Diocese Anthony Ewherido in his tribute stated among other things that Ememoh 11 was a king that served his people and his kingdom selfishnessly .
While the leadership of God’s Kingdom Society ( GKS ) which international headquarters ( Salem City ) is located in Agbarha Warri community of Igbudu also stated among other things that they enjoyed the magmanity and gracious deposition of the great king .
College of Education Warri located in Agbarha Warri Community of Edjeba in its tribute, affirmed that the traditional ruler was a great and noble leader whose reign brought peace and progress to the area .
Foremost socio cultural and Agbarha association, Agbarha Warri League stated that the departed Agbarha Warri monarch will be greatly missed for his sense of humility, patriotism and forthrightness
A peace novelty match was played in his honour between Agbarha Warri kingdom and neighbouring Warri Urhobo Kingdom of Okere at football field of Ogunu Community that ended in 2- 1 in favour of Agbarha Warri kingdom.
The peaceful reign of Orhifi as he was fondly called was celebrated with an alnight ancient Urhobo traditional dance of Ivwri at the Otovwodo ( Agbassa ) Community, the traditional headquarters of Agbarha Warri kingdom.
The final rites of passage also featured homage paying by the 7 autonomous communities of Agbarha Warri kingdom, Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide, non Indigenes, associations , religious groups , relations among others.
The grandfinale of the rites of passage of the peace loving king held in Essi College, Warri , was like a carnival as it would never befogotten in a hurry by those that attended it.
The Agbarha Warri Regency Council also held an interdenominational/ thanksgiving service to appreciate God for a successful rites of passage of HRM Ememoh 11 at the Agbarha Warri Regency Council Hall Igbudu Community on Sunday 18th June , 2023.
The event was graced by a galaxy of heads of churches and their members from within and outside Delta State
