As the general elections beckons and Permanent Voters Card (PVC) collection intensifies, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has moved the collection of voters cards to ward levels.
ACTUAL NEWS reports that At Ugbomro town hall in Uvwie local Government area of Delta State electorates were seen collecting their PVCs before the deadline of January 15,2023 when the cards would be returned from the wards to INEC offices .
Some of the electorates including Mr David Jite while commending INEC for distributing the cards to the ward levels ,however complained that more hands are needed to make the exercise smooth and fast .
“INEC should increase their workers so that the collection of the PVCs would be fast. I came with my food and water today I must collect my voters card ” he said .
They urged INEC to increase the number of their adhoc staff to enable them collect their voters cards without stress.
Also Some eligible voters including Mrs Victoria Okoro ,Mr Ejiro Festus said the gesture by INEC is to enable those that are unable to collect their PVCs from the local government level to do so.
They express happiness that most voters in the area cam now vote because they have collected their voters cards .

It would be Recalled that INEC had announced that with effect from Friday 6th to 15th January 2023 the collection of PVCS will be at the ward level and as from Monday, January 16th, 2023, the exercise will revert to INEC Local Government Area Offices across the country until Sunday 22nd of January, 2023.
