A chieftain of Urhobos of Warri Political Class ( UWPC ) Chief Vincent Okudolor ( JP ) has vehemently debunked a media report making the rounds that stated that Urhobos of Warri backed Chief Edwin Clark ‘ s call for Economic Financial Crime Commission ( EFCC ) probe on former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on derivation funds that accrued to Delta State from 2015 – 2023 .
Okudolor spoke to newsmen on the said publication in Warri at the weekend as he described the publication as an unguided vendetta against former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
While insisting that the Urhobos of Warri at never at anytime made such a publication, Okudolor pointed out that authors of the publication were members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that defected to the All Progressive Congress ( APC) few days to the last Delta State governorship election.
Okudolor who also swore that the authors do not have followers unlike the other Warri Urhobo political groups, argued that the authors were culpable in the alleged corrupt charges against former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa since they also held top political appointments in Governor Okowa ‘ s administration as Executive Assistant ( EA ) and Senior Special Assistant ( SSA ) .
” Chief Adehor was an Executive Assistant ( EA ) to former Governor Okowa on Political Matters , Chief Victor Okumagba was a Senior Special Assistant ( SSA) to former Governor Okowa on Committee on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution and Chief Onotor was a former PDP Chairman Edjeba Ward Warri South Local Government Area as well as a former PDP youth leader Warri South Local Government Area.”
He therefore claimed that PDP made the authors what they are positively in politics today
Okudolor also claimed that Chief Westham Adehor and Chief Godday Onotor ( president and organising secretary of group that made publication respectively) are Urhobos that live in Warri and that they are not Warri Urhobos.
Okudolor who stated that the reading public should therefore discountanace the publication, also strongly advised that no group should use the name of Warri Urhobos for selfish reasons or settle scores with their political opponents.
