Provost of college of Education Warri, Dr Dickson Oyovwi has advised pioneer masters degree Students of the Ignatius Ajuru university of Education Port-Harcourt Rivers State to abide by the rules guiding the programme so that they would graduate at the given time.
Dr Oyovwi was speaking during an orientation programme for master degree Students of the institution affiliated to college of Education warri, Delta state held at the college board room.
Dr Oyovwi stated that Ignatius Ajuru university of Education is known to deliver quality and sound education to students .
Dr Oyovwi said the institution decided to attract the master degree programme to College of Education warri to enable interested students in Warri and it’s environs to be admitted into the Post Graduate school .
He said college of Education warri has the capacity to run the masters degree programme and urged the lecturers to be flexible to the students
He charged the students to market the programme by their performance
” I want you to play by the rules guiding the institution and graduate at the record ” he said .
The vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education , Professor Okechukwu Onuchukwu advised the pioneer masters degree Students to ensure they have something to show at the end of their sacrifice for the programme .
Professor Onuchukwu who was represented by the Director Academic planning of the institute Prof Joseph kinanee assured the students that the programme will not exceed one year as the institution academic programme is not affected by ASUU strike .
Also speaking the Director of the masters Degree programme , Dr Samuel Eshenake said the masters programme would help students further their academics within the stipulated period.
Some of the masters students expressed their appreciation to the school management for bringing the programme to their domain as it would help further their education
The orientation programme featured enlightment of students by the college librarian Dr Nelson Edewor and Director MIS Dr Ufuoma Onaewie as well as entertainment of questions from students.
