The famous Essi College Old Students Association (ECOSA) Warri , held its Worldwide convention at the prestigious Jakesville Resorts, Ovwodokpokpor – Olomu last weekend.
The epoch making event witnessed the reelection of Chief Sylvester Bighoro as the Worldwide President of ECOSA.
Others that were elected as Worldwide executives of the association were : Mr Blackson Ohoyo ( Vice President), Mr Clement Siakpere ( National Secretary) Mrs Gracilia Okpewho ( Assistant National Secretary) , Mr Rume Omuophu ( National Financial Secretary) and Mrs Aso Sylvia ( National Treasurer ) .
They included: Mr Jude Obudu ( National Social/ Welfare Secretary) , Mr Victor Iyamu ( National Public Relations Officer) , Mrs Stella Gbege ( National Assistant Public Relations Officer) , Mr Augustine Ovueferie ( National Chief Whip) , Elder Samuel Ugbejevun ( National Auditor) and Barrister Ovuayero Esi ( National Legal Adviser) .
Bighoro had earlier in his articulated address before his reelection listed his achievements and challenges just as he appreciated Chief Matthew Tone , Mrs Anthonia German, Chief Jacob Diedjomahor, Otunba Samson Bazuaye and Chief Peter Obodo for providing halls free of charge for the association in hosting of events.
Bighoro who is a respected chief of Ughievwen Kingdom was also full of praises for HRM Fidelis Agbiki, High Chief Victor Otomewo a legal luminary, and other members and chapters of ECOSA for their support and dedication to the growth of the association in his first tenure.
Bighoro in his acceptance speech vowed to improve on his achievements in his first tenure.
He however solicited for the continued support and prayers from members to enable him carryout his good agenda for the association.
High point of the event, was the swearing in of the newly elected executives of ECOSA by an old student Awoghoke Atiewo, a lawyer .
The newly elected executives of ECOSA will serve for three years.
The colourful event featured a gala night and award of excellence to some deserving members and chapters of the great association.
Members, spouses and friends had a good time as the event lasted till late in the night with superb entertainment .
