Delta North Senatorial District College of Youth Leaders have passed a resounding vote of confidence on Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government Council.
At the end of their summit in Ogwashi-Uku, the delegates unanimously adopted the motion for the vote of confidence, sparking spontaneous celebration from the massive crowd.
Hon. Asiwe Emeke, speaking on behalf of the Delta North College of Youth Leaders, pledged the youths’ support for the PDP leadership in the state while decrying the actions of some leaders who divert empowerment meant for underprivileged members of society. The president General of Aniocha South community youth,Comrade Chiedu Stanley’s views aligned with Asiwe’s, emphasizing the need for leaders to address youth unemployment and create opportunities.
Speaking at the event, Chukwunwike, Okwe, and Agbobu urged the youths to focus on their future, emphasizing that tomorrow’s success begins today. They stressed the importance of rallying support for Governor Oborevwori’s re-election in 2027, citing his impressive achievements in less than two years.
Other speakers echoed the same view, highlighting the imperative of ensuring Oborevwori’s return.
Hon. Chris Agbobu, two-time former Minister of the Federal Republic, Sir Peter Okwe, Aniocha South PDP chairman as well as Chief Nath Igbadi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment and Infrastructure, were among the notable people present.
Others are Hon. Collins Iwebunor, councilors, and numerous government functionaries.
The event’s highlight was the confidence vote passed on Governor Oborevwori and Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike, with the college of Delta North leaders pledging to ensure the PDP’s victory in the 2027 general election.
