It was a sorrowful atmosphere at Iyede town, in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State, as Mrs Hope, wife of Delta journalist, Francis Sadhere, was laid to rest, Friday, March 21, 2025.

She was aged 43.
Niger Delta Today News reports that Family members, including the beloved daughter of the departed, Uyoyo and friends who attended the funeral service, could not hold back their tears as glowing tributes were paid to the deceased.
“Selfless,” kind,” accommodating,” a unifier,” were among words used to describe the late Mrs. Sadhere.
“Sister Hope was someone I could call for help at anytime of the day. She would never say ‘no’,” a sister stated in her tribute.
The ceremony which began with solemn worship was officiated by Pastor Michael Okugbere, Senior Pastor of Deliverance and Instant Answer Ministry (DIAM), Ughelli.
As renditions of hymns, ‘My hope is built on nothing else,’ It is well with my soul,’ among others filled the air, the cleric charged the gathering to reflect on their lives and ensure to lead good lives so that God Almighty would welcome them on the last day.
In his sermon, Pastor Enoch Akpoviroro, while citing various bible scriptures, said: “Hell is real, heaven is real, but the question we need to ask ourselves is where would we be after now? When you die without pleasing God, where do you choose to be? These are questions we should ask our selves. Live well here, so that God will welcome you on the last day.”
The funeral ceremony was attended by members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Warri Correspondents’ Chapel; friends, relatives and DIAM (church members).
In his remarks, the Chairman, NUJ Warri Correspondents’ Chapel, Victor Okpomor, commiserated with the Sadhere and Edoriahwe families of Uzere and Emevor towns, respectively in Isoko South and Isoko North LGAs, over the demise of their wife and daughter, just as he prayed for God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
He further prayed that the soul of the late wife of their colleague, finds eternal rest
