… PDP urges Agege to shutdown campaign office in Asaba, take a bow
The publicity Secretary of Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr Valentine Onojeghuo, has predicted landslide victory for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, on March 11, this year.
He made the disclosure at a press conference on Thursday, wherein he stated that even though their enstranged governorship candidate and mace runner, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege had like to be governor, credible evidence showed clearly that the excessive local content incoming governor of Delta State, Elder Oborevwori, is way ahead of Agege by their projections of foreseeable election results in the state.
And in swift reaction to the laudable acceptance of defeat ahead of the elections by Delta APC, Spokesperson of Delta PDP Campaign Council, Dr Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, urged Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to shutdown his campaign office in Asaba, saying that Delta APC’s subtle admission of PDP political supremacy in the February 25 and March 11 elections has been long awaited by Deltans who are prepared with their PVCs to vote out the clueless poverty party, the APC.
Oghenesivbe, however noted that the APC publicist was economical with glaring facts in his findings by saying that PDP shall defeat APC through manipulation of the Bivas accreditation machines, as against the full assurance given by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that the BIVAS machines cannot be manipulated by it’s officials or third parties for that matter
He dismissed Delta APCs self pity with a wave of the hand, and warned Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and his crashed APC to desist from linking the state governor and Vice Presidential Candidate of PDP, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, to their wholesome failure at the polls on February 25 and March 11, this year, noting that Agege’s negative leadership traits, coupled with APC bad governance is strictly responsible for their foreseeable failures at the polls.
Oghenesivbe urged INEC to institute legal action against Delta APC, it’s publicist and Senator Ovie Omo-Agege under the principles of vicarious liability, for the grave criminal allegations levied against the commission and it’s officials by the party, so as to save it’s corporate dignity and integrity ahead of the general elections.
“Delta APC has again displayed her gross incompetence and unpreparedness for both the presidential and governorship elections in the state by making unfounded and spurious allegations against INEC, it’s officials and the governor of Delta State.
“The BIVAS machines have been used by INEC to conduct elections recently and there was no case or report of BIVAS hacking or manipulation by third parties. INEC performance was applauded by local and foreign observers.
“Delta APC must not be allowed to create tension and discredit the use of BIVAS machines, so as not to reintroduce manual accreditation of voters widely known for massive thumb printing of ballot papers and election rigging.
“Agege does not like anything credible, he is a master of unscrupulous enterprise. He wants the reintroduction of manual accreditation so that he can deploy his political thugs to rig the election. Too late for Agege. Rigging is dead and buried in Nigeria.
“As a country, APC has taken Nigeria backward by eight years of bad governance and cannot again deploy black propaganda to cause voters apathy in the forthcoming general elections as can be seen from the unfounded and vague allegations of Delta APC publicist.
“As a party, APC must lick her wounds occasioned by unfulfilled electioneering promises of 2015 and 2019, as well as the clueless leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari which obviously grounded the nation’s economy and subjected Nigerians to acute poverty, hardship and insecurity.
“We in PDP are gladdened by the open confession of Delta APC, and for conceding landslide victory to our party and governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, ahead of the elections.
“Delta is SHERIFFIED and locked against the poverty party, the APC,” Oghenesivbe assured.
