The Executive Chairman of Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, Hon. (Pharm.) Victor Ofobrukueta on Sunday, congratulated the Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme on the occasion of the 32nd Anniversary of the creation of Delta state.
Ofobrukueta who gave this congratulations while speaking to newsmen, said from 32 years ago that Drlta state was created, on August 27, 1991, the state has experienced tremendous achievements in all areas of life.
The state has been transformed in no small measure through the uncommon contributions and supports of successive government that have seen the need to give the state and all her cities facelifts across boards in and across the entire state.
The Ethiope East Council boss noted that from when they have separated from the defunct Bendel state and now, a lot has been achieved from the time of military administrators to Ibru, Ibori, Uduaghan, Okowa and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who has vowed to take the state to an enviable height through his More Agenda.
He said the new administration of Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori has also in the course of his duties, cushioned the effect of the fuel subsidy removal by approving extra N10,000 monthly for over 50,000 workers for the next three months and also introducing shift system to reduce the working hours to a maximum of three days in a week.
Ofobrukueta said the governor is aiming at raising the bar with the ongoing consideration for investment in electric and compressed natural gas mobility not only to transform public transportation in the state but also to provide alternative vehicle energy systems in the automotive sector which will also culminate in new jobs.
The governor has come to further cement the cohesion with repeated insistence on his appointees that his administration shall exercise zero tolerance for discrimination and nepotism while assuring that development projects shall be evenly distributed.
