The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom, High Chief Hope Akasa ( JP) has remarked that the appointment of Hon Chief Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata as Chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue (DBIR) was well deserved.
Akasa who is the highest tradititioal chief in Uvwie Kingdom made the remark in a media interaction with newsmen in Effurun , Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State at the weekend.
The Uvwie high chief noted that Hon Chief Solomon Okporua Ighrakpata was a technocrat in finance management and therefore has the capability and ability to impact positively on the board.
While congratulating Chief Ighrakpata on his appointment, he also applauded Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for his choice of the Uvwie born former Delta State House of Assembly member as the chairman of DBIR .
The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom used the opportunity to congratulate Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on his Supreme Court victory on the case of forgery.
” The judiciary is the last hope of the oppressed.
” The verdicts from the High to Supreme Court have shown that the enemies wanted to tarnish the good name of Governor Oborevwori maliciously .” he added.
The Unuevworo of Uvwie Kingdom was full of praises and appreciation for former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his support for Governor Oborevwori and for standing behind him firmly.
