The president of the christian men fellowship, Diocese of Warri, Anglican Communion, Comrade Isaac Orove, has encouraged all men to join faith with those who believe that these trying times of economic hardship are signs of hope for a better tomorrow in Nigeria and in Delta State.
Comrade Orove stated this at the Presidential address of the Diocesan Men Organization conference, held on the 14th of October 2023, at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Igbudu ,Warri South local Government of Delta State .
He explained that “despite the sudden plague of flood here and there, disappointment in the electoral process and the unprecedented rise in fuel pump price which have further the devaluation of the naira, making many who have the means to flee, and are still fleeing the country, are all powerful signs that indicate that a better Nigeria is near.”
With the conference theme ” Spirit Filled Life: Sealed unto the Day of Redemption,” the president congratulated all men present at the conference for availing themselves the opportunity of partaking in the blessings of the conference, as he stated, “I know the men are the worst hit of this present economic hardship and it will take the grace of God for men to find time for God’s work as many are quick to give excuses of sourcing for money to solve the many challenging situations, society have thrown at us. ”
Continuing, he stated that “I am however confident that God will give us victory to go through these phases so that in time to come, we will look back and appreciate God’s mercies in our lives.”
While appreciating the steadfastness of men, both at the home and church, Orove encouraged men to be more committed in the activities of men fellowship in their various churches, saying that “the idea is to groom and bring up Christian men to spiritual maturity.” I sincerely crave your indulgence as men and the head of your home, to make yourself available so that you can experience what the Lord is about to do as we dwell in his presence” he added.
The three-day men’s conference which started on Friday 13th of October 2023, ended sunday 15th 2023 with thanksgiving services by men at their various churches.
