( representative of the Ovie of Agbarha Warri Kingdom ) of Ogunu Community , High Chief Sylvester Udi has advised that children should always honour their parents even if their parents are not alive.
High Chief Udi gave the advice in a brief media chat with our correspondent during the 10th year Remembrance anniversary of his father Elder Paul Eghere Udi who lived for 79 years.
High Chief Sylvester Udi who is also an Okere Urhobo chief , pointed out that the bible pronounced a blessing to children that honours their parents .
” More so my father was a legend who impacted positively on the lives of his children , other relations and those that are not even related to him.
” This is why we decided to celebrate his tenth year death anniversary in such a wonderful way.
” We are proud to have him as our father’ he added.
On his part, the councilor representating Ogunu / Okurode ( Ekurede Urhobo) at the Warri South Local Government Council, Hon Udumetotor Eghere who is a biological son of the late Elder Paul Eghere Udi also spoke volumes of the goodness of his father while he was alive.
The lawmaker who is the Deputy Chief Whip of Warri South Local Government Council Legislative Arm , expressed gratitude to God for the huge success of the event.
He also expressed appreciation to those that graced the occasion.
