Effurun-Otor kingdom in Ughelli south local Government Area has installed Chief Michael Eyareya as it’s 16th Monarch
The emergence of the Orovworere of Effurun-Otor kingdom, Eyareya II,HRM Michael Eyareya came after he had been elected as the Otota of Effurun-Otor kingdom.
Earlier At about 9:20 am on Thursday October 10,2024 the oldest man in the kingdom Pa David Ohre after performing some traditional rituals lowered the crown on the new Monarch, Eyareya II which sparks jubilation among the people of the kingdom .
The Orovworere of Effurun-Otor ,Eyareya II expressed gratitude to the chiefs who stood by him during his election as Otota till when he was crowned the king .
He asked them to remain peaceful among themselves at all times and pray for him to lead them aright.
Speaking on the sidelines, some prominent chiefs in the kingdom including High chief Jonathan Duku, the President General,Chief Francis Uzoh,High Chief Anthony Duku and Secretary of Effurun- Otor chief George Ijobor expressed gratitude to God that the installation went smoothly and peacefully.
They called on the people of the kingdom to continue to be peaceful so as to attract more development to the kingdom.

The Orovworere of Effurun-Otor kingdom,Eyareya II later honoured some distinguished persons in the Kingdom with Chieftaincy titles.
