The Executive Chairman of Aniocha South Local Government , Hon. Pastor Jude Chukwunwike , has raised concerns over the poor state of key link roads within the region and has passionately appealed for their urgent tarring to facilitate economic growth and connectivity.
He made this call at Egbudu Akah during his remarks at the official presentation of the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty, Obi Augustine Nzemeke Ezeagwuna Okolie III, as the traditional ruler of the Egbudu Akah Kingdom.

Hon. Chukwunwike specifically highlighted the Egbudu Akah–Ashama–Ubulu Uno and Ejeme–Ekwukwu Agbor roads, stressing that rehabilitating and tarring these roads would significantly enhance transportation, stimulate local commerce, and improve the overall livelihood of residents in Aniocha South and neighboring communities.
He urged relevant government authorities and stakeholders to prioritize the project, emphasizing its strategic importance to the socio-economic advancement of the region.
The council boss made a case also ,for the establishment of a police post in Egbudu Akah community to bolster security considering the strategic usefulness of the roads linking and interconnecting several agrarian communities of both Ika and Ndokwa West councils as well as Aniocha South as boundary neighbors.
