The Proprietress of the famous St Anastasia Heights Montessori And Secondary International School, Effurun Uvwie Local Government Area , Chief ( Mrs ) Anastasia Onisiru Agbatutu has advised students of the school to study hard for them to become great in life.
This was contained in her key note address during the 29th Graduation / Prize Giving Day Ceremony of the school on Saturday 22nd July, 2023 .
The renowned educationist and highly esteemed Uvwie chief stated that the school was founded in 1994 with the aim of providing quality education to children and also to ignite their talents and potentials in furthering their education.
Agbatutu further stated that the school was an integral school system which has the pre- basic, basic 1-6, JSS 1-3 and SS 1-3 classes.
” Our curriculum is in line with the Federal of Nigeria based on the liberal, technical vocational and entrepreneurial education” she added.
Agbatutu listed some of the laudable achievements of the school so far as she proudly disclosed that the school has produced distinguished personalities that were doing fine in their various fields of endeavours.
She however appealed to parents to always endeavour to be meeting the financial responsibilities of their wards to enable the school overcome its challenges.
Agbatutu whose birthday coincided with the epoch making event wrapped up her articulated address with an advice to the graduating students as she stated that ” I admonished you to buckle up, you have good times and rough seas ahead.But in all , you shall conquer ”
The Guest Speaker of the event, Dr ( Chief ) Jimoh Samuel Eshanake ( JP ) spoke eloquently on the importance of quality education in the lives of children .
He noted that with quality education, students could be useful to themselves, their families and the society at large.
The chairman of the occasion, Chief Abraham Ejedegba in his remarks, noted that St. Anastasia Heights Montessori And Secondary International School Effurun was a light to the pupils and students of the great school.
Another special guest , Chief Edwards Ajobor had in his remarks stressed that education was the best legacy parents can bequeath to their children.
The colourful event featured debates, poem recitation, presentation of awards / certificates , drama presentation, news casting , beauty competition, cutting of cakes among others.
