All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain in Delta State Chief Cairo Ojougboh is dead
Actual News gathered that Ojougboh gave up the ghost as soon as a penalty kick was awarded against Nigeria , during the AFCON match with South Africa on Wednesday’s semi-final clash in Bouake, Ivory coast.
Super Eagles Captain, William Troost-Ekong had scored a penalty at the 67th minute for Nigeria, before the Nelson Mandela’s kinsmen were awarded a spot-kick.
Their equaliser came after Nigeria thought they had scored a second goal through a tap-in from 2023 African best player, Victor Osimhen.
The play was called back after VAR alerted the Egyptian referee that South African Percy Tau, was fouled in the 18-yard box of Nigeria, leading to the abortion of Osimhen’s goal.
The game, however, ended with a 4-2 penalty shootout victory in favour of Nigeria, sending the Super Eagles to the final of the tournament.
Cairo Ojougboh was an All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain, Director General of the Coalition For Peace and Unity, and former member of the Federal House of Representatives, having represented Ika Federal Constituency.
