HRM Dr Emmanuel Ekemejewa Sideso JP OON Abe I the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom has added another feather to his cap as he was elected chairman of Association of Urhobo Traditional Rulers other wise known as Ukoko R ‘ Ivie Urhobo at the palace of the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom in Orerokpe headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area on Saturday 1st July 2023 .
Other elected officials of the royal association were HRM Solomon Okunkeren , the Ovie of Arhawarien Kingdom ( Vice Chairman) HRM Richard Oghenevwogaga Ebelle Ovie of Agbarha Otor Kingdom ( Secretary General ) , HRM King Obukohwo Whiskey the Ovie of Idjerhe Kingdom , Otota ( Spokesman ) HRM Noble Eshemitan the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom ( Treasurer ) , HRM Okiemute Onajite , the Ovie of Ogor Kingdom ( Financial Secretary )
The newly elected executive committee of Association of Urhobo Traditional Rulers will serve for 4 years.
The Uvwie monarch spoke to newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the executive committee of Association of Urhobo Traditional Rulers.
He promised to work with both the Delta and Federal governments to ensure peace and attract meaningful developments to Urhobo Nation.
Abe 1 had earlier appreciated his colleagues for his election.
HRM Major General Felix Mujakperuo ( rtd ) the Orodje who also spoke described the election of the new executive committee of Association of Urhobo Traditional Rulers as free, fair and credible.
