Delta State Governor Right Honourable Sheriff Oborevwori has inaugurated multiple Roads and Flood Control projects to commemorate his administration’s 100 days in office with a promise to end perennial flooding in the state capital territory.
Governor Oborevwori made the promise while inaugurating 29 networks of roads with 31.45 Kilometres line drains around Madonna College road in Asaba and Okpanam areas of Oshimili South and Oshimili North Local Government Council areas:
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori commended the immediate past administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for initiating the projects adding that the completion of the projects was in line with the state Government’s commitment to end perennial problem of flooding in the state capital territory.
Governor Oborevwori said the 16 kilometres flood control project is a powerful testament to the power of strategic thinking and wise planning.
He assured Deltans that more projects would be executed in the coming months and years in line with his administration’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
The Governor disclosed that under the M.O.R.E Agenda, his administration is poised to raise the bar in road and physical infrastructure as well as urban renewal.
Commissioner for Works Highways and Urban Roads, Comrade Reuben Izeze commended the Governor for the commitment in completing the projects and lauded the contractor for delivering on the project.
