The President of Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis ,Rotarian Robert Omeresan on Saturday October 5,2014 led Members of the club to Warri central hospital,Warri south local Government Area of Delta State to make payment for seven kidney dialysis sessions for patients in the hospital.
Rotarian Robert Omeresan said the payment for the kidney Dialysis sessions was in line with One of Rotary’s International areas of focus which is Disease prevention and treatment.
He said since 2019 the club has been making payments to support indigent patients ,stressing that six indigent patients were nominated for payment of their kidney dialysis sessions .
“we are here for our service project on one of the focus areas of Rotary International which is disease prevention and treatment, 6 patients who have been struggling with financial demand of the treatment has been nominated for payment by the Rotary club of Warri Metropolitan”Robert Omeresan stated .
Rotarian Robert Omeresan disclosed that the club also made payment for two paints of blood for two other indigent patients who needed blood transfusion .
He added that the project also aimed at lessen the financial burden on indigent patients , stressing that Rotary is always doing good and putting smiles on the faces of indigent people in the society .
Responding the Matron Mrs Vera Ebinum thanked members of Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis for the gesture.
She said the beneficiaries would continue to remember the gesture by members of Rotary Club of Warri Metropolitan because of their contributions to humanity.
The beneficiaries also commended Rotary Club of Warri Metropolis for assisting them to pay for the dialysis sessions and urged other good spirited Nigerians to emulate the gesture of Rotary club of Warri Metropolitan.
