The President Of Academic Staff Union Of Universities ,ASUU Emmanuel Osodeke Says the body is yet to suspend its ongoing industrial action.
For the first time since 14th February when ASUU embarked on strike, it said on Monday that it saw “light at the end of the tunnel.”
Stories and Social Media Posts Tuesday Morning Suggested that the Union has suspended the strike following a meeting with members of the leadership of the House of Representatives on Monday.
Emmanuel Osodeke described stories that his union had suspended the strike as “fake.”
Meanwhile, a source in the union Revealed to ACTUAL NEWS that there will be briefings at the various zones of the union and a subsequent meeting by the branches today (Wednesday )
The source added that the National Executive Council of the union will then meet to decide on the suspension of the strike.
The Court of Appeal last Friday ordered ASUU to suspend the strike before continuing with its appeal against the judgement of the Industrial Court.
